We are thrilled to announce the third annual Santa for Seniors initiative as November's cooler months commence. The generosity of the RM of Taché, Lorette Thrifty Treasures, and local community members has enabled us to provide 100 gift bags to seniors requiring holiday cheer. 

We are currently accepting donations at Red River Co-op Lorette or at the RM of Taché office. We are also accepting cash donations.  

This program has demonstrated a positive impact, reducing feelings of loneliness during the holiday season. Donations and senior nominations to receive a gift bag will be accepted until December 10th, 2024.

Here is a list of some of the things we have provided in previous gift bags;

- Chocolates boxed

- Protein bars

- Christmas oranges

- Candy cane

- Jam 

- Hot chocolate (Individual packages)

- Puzzle books (large print)

- Jigsaw puzzles

- Wall calendar (with space to write in)

- Notebook/pad

- Hard candy

- Toothbrush 

- Chapstick

- Mini hand cream
