Home Occupations & Home Businesses
The R.M. of Taché Zoning By-law now regulates Home Businesses in addition to Home Occupations as Accessory Uses to a Principal Use on a property. Depending on the zone, some Home Businesses and Home Occupations require a Conditional Use and some are permitted and require a Development Permit. See Table 3-5 Accessory Use, Building or Structure Table in the Zoning By-law to determine if Home Occupations and/or Home Businesses are permitted on your property.
"Home Occupation" means an occupation, trade, profession or craft that is carried on in a dwelling unit or its accessory building and which is clearly incidental or accessory to the residential use of the dwelling.
"Home Business" means non-offensive light manufacturing activities and small businesses that may be permitted as a second use, in addition to the principal use.
See Section 3.2.2 Home Occupations and Home Business and Table 3-5 Accessory Use, Building or Structure Table in the Zoning By-law for use specific standards.
