Grass, Leaves and Branch Disposal
Reduce Landfill Waste
Landfills in Canada are quickly filling up and one-third of landfill waste is made up of compostable materials. Diverting this waste from the landfill means that our facilities will last longer and our costs reduced.
Grass and leaves are organics that should be and can be composted at no charge. Place grass clippings and leaves in Biodegradable paper bags and deposit at the Solid Waste Management Facilities at no charge to you.
If you are not able to place grass clippings and leaves in paper bags, please empty the bags on site to avoid contaminating the compost pile.
Branches are also accepted at the facilities and are chipped at no charge.
Composting reduces the costs associated with disposing of organics within landfill cells.
